6V Failsafe (PB-12J01)
The PB-12J01 Failsafe Switch is a 6 volt pushbutton switch that follows in the footsteps of the original 12V Failsafe Switch. This switch continues the tradition of keeping the battery powered toy car industry safe.
Utilizing an ingenious internal design, this switch prevents a common problem with switches, welding in the closed position. Though all switches are susceptible to welding, the patented design allows the switch to return to an open position and simultaneously disables it from future operation. In the toy car industry, this prevents "runaways".
Other features of this switch include an electrical life of 200,000 cycles minimum (often tested to over 1,000,000 cycles), and a sonically welded body that raises the intrusion protection of this switch to IP66.
Since it's introduction, we have seen a number of inferior knockoffs. Don't be fooled, this is the original.
